Wednesday, April 16, 2025 - from 6:00pm to 7:00pm - NJEA is hosting an educational program presented by an immigration attorney (fortunately after our ECSNA educational program on that date). NJEA members received an email invitation on April 3rd. This program is exclusively for NJEA members.  Wednesday, April 23, 2025 – from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 – 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m, - The Role of the School Nurse in School Safety and Security, presented by Dr. Thomas Gambino, Ed.D, Office of School Preparedness & Emergency Planning, NJDOE. Dr. Gambino provided ECSNA with the School Emergency Drills presentation on January 15th. Details of the session are included when you register. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm - "Know Your Rights: Focus on Immigration" presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association. - "Everyone, regardless of their immigration status, has basic rights under the state and federal constitutions. Join us for a free, virtual seminar where community members can learn more here about what your rights are, how to exercise them, and what to do when your rights are violated. This seminar will specifically cover interacting with ICE, obligations of employers, and other updates related to immigration law under the current administration. Speakers are members of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section. Free to attend. All are welcome."
