Please see the attached letter from Senator John McKeon (former Mayor of West Orange) congratulating our PR Event Coordinator/ Education Chairperson, Dr. Denise Makri-Werzen, PUBH:CH HP RN/MT(ASCP) CSN/HT Ph.D. MS BS. In his letter, Senator McKeon praises Dr. Werzen for: being recognized by NASN, dedication to the health and well-being of the students of West Orange High School, her journey to achieve her Doctorate in Public Health, and 17 years of service to the West Orange School District demonstrating unwavering commitment to the community's well-being.
Senator McKeon further states that nurses, such as Dr. Werzen, are essential to the educational system creating an environment where children can succeed. Dr. Werzen's leadership in ECSNA is noted to increase her positive impact. There is also a thoughtful congratulations to Dr. Werzen on becoming a grandmother to Pari Irene.
