Our thanks to our PR Event Coordinator/ Education Chairperson, Dr. Denise Makri-Werzen, PUBH:CH HP RN/MT(ASCP) CSN/HT Ph.D. MS BS for sharing that there is a webinar from the National Foundation for Infectious Disease (NFID) on Wednesday, June 18th at 1:00pm. "Join the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) and the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) for a discussion on the importance of travel vaccines to help protect international travelers. Speakers will review current recommendations for travelers and will share implementation strategies. 

 NFID Medical Director Robert (Bob) H. Hopkins, Jr., MD, will moderate the discussion with NFID President Jeffery A. Goad, PharmD, MPH, Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Chapman University School of Pharmacy, and ACIP Member Lin H. Chen, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Travel Medicine Consultant at Mount Auburn Hospital Travel Medicine Center.   

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss vaccine recommendations for international travelers

  • Identify successful strategies for implementation of travel vaccine recommendations
