"On Friday, September 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, in collaboration with the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, will be hosting a conference, the “NJ Healthy Aging Summit: Opioid Safety & Alternatives,” at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The goal of this conference is to educate older adults and those who work with the aging population about prescription opioids, their risks and the resources available to prevent and address opioid dependency and promote healthy aging within the older population. The conference is free of charge and if you can gather 20-30 colleagues and seniors that could meet up at one location, PDFNJ has a limited number of transportation vouchers available.
