 Reminders:

SIC Reporting for K-12 Schools

This is a reminder that weekly reporting into the CDRSS SIC module continues to be required for all K-12 public and nonpublic schools per Executive Order 302 and Executive Directive No. 21-011. Reporting is done through the Surveillance for Infectious Conditions (SIC) Module in New Jersey’s Communicable Disease Reporting and Surveillance System (CDRSS) as outlined in the K-12 SIC Module User Guide for Schools, which can be found under the Training Tab of the CDRSS website. The module is open for reporting all day on Tuesday each week, closing on Wednesday at 5 p.m. All schools will be required to report their weekly data beginning the week of September 15th, 2025.

SIC Training and Registration Instructions:

To register, visit: https://cdrss.nj.gov/ and under the Training tab, see “TRAINING AND ACCESS FOR SURVEILLANCE FOR INFECTIOUS CONDITIONS: K-12 SCHOOL USERS”.

  • A link will take you to a new training platform where you can:

o     Access K-12 SIC reporting training video for school users.

o    Download data reports training video for LHDs.

o    Find the updated SIC User Guide for the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Weekly SIC reporting will still be done through the CDRSS website.

Schools should ensure they remain up to date with these reporting changes and resources. For reporting questions or assistance, and to send your completed user agreement, schools may contact CDS.COV.RPT@doh.nj.gov.

Data from the SIC Module can be viewed in the SIC Module Dashboard, which can be found on the CDS School Health webpage. This data is also included in the CDS Respiratory Illness Reports and NJDOH Respiratory Illness Dashboard.
