What We Are Up To: You are invited to join us for our ECSNA Wednesday, January 21st Zoom educational program at 4:00pm: "Respiratory Viruses and the Impact of Abated Vaccination Rates" Presented by Dr. Alissa Werzen MD (please see Dr. Alissa Werzen's bio below): Dr. Alissa Werzen is an infectious disease specialist in Voorhees, New Jersey and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Jefferson Washington Township, Cherry Hill and Stratford Hospitals-Jefferson Health and University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus. She received her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine. She has expertise in treating diabetes, hypertension & high blood pressure, pneumonia, among other conditions. • 2026 Spring Conference New Jersey School Nurses at the Heart of Student Success March 27-28th in East Brunswick. Please plan to attend! Now is the time to request a professional development day (7 CEUs) and register online by clicking here. PO's are accepted and the state has approved a travel waiver which allows for hotel and mileage to be reimbursed by your district if you live 50 or more miles away. 

• Poster Presentations at the Spring Conference - abstract applications click here are due by January 30th. Consider sharing your research or health project for the benefit of school nurses across the state.

• Volunteers are needed and welcome on NJSSNA's many committees! Please consider sharing your time, talent and insights by serving on a committee (Education, Finance, Legislation, Communication, Membership, Standards and Practice) or even running for a position on the board. Candidates are needed for the positions of Treasurer and Secretary. Please reach out by clicking here  ASAP if interested. 

• May Retirement Dinner and General Meeting  (date and location to be determined) It's a great opportunity to relax and celebrate with friends while enjoying a meal and professional development presentation.
